Reconfigurable Hardware for Speeding up Java Programs

Chairman: Dr. Darrin M. Hanna, Oakland University, USA

Abstract:

Many techniques have been employed for optimizing the Java Virtual Machine to execute Java bytecodes faster than traditional implementations. Advancements in reconfigurable computing have enabled researchers to use hardware to execute algorithms described in Java much more quickly. This session focuses on research towards executing Java applications at higher speeds and/or lower power using reconfigurable hardware.
